Nail down installation is required for installing solid hardwood floors. For engineered hardwood, nail down, staple, glue down, or floating methods are also used.

There are three types of color variation in hardwood floors: low, moderate and high.

Low Variation
This hardwood contains low to moderate color and character variation with low to moderate knots and mineral streaking.

Moderate Variation
Moderate to high color and character variation and moderate to high occurrences of knots and mineral streaking.

High Variation
This Shaw hardwood contains high to very high color and character variation with frequent knots and very frequent mineral streaking.

Your dealer will be able to help you decide what color variation will work best for your specific needs.
