Hardwood is a smart investment for your home. There is nothing like the beauty that hardwood ushers into a space. Warm, inviting, beautiful, timeless, and durable. At Shaw Builder + Multifamily, we have many different hardwood styles that we proudly make in the USA.

Hardwood for Active Lifestyles

I love to share with my own clients that you live life on your floors. You don't have to tippy-toe around worried about your floors. That's exactly what makes hardwood so great—they are durable and stand up to the active lifestyles of home buyers today. Enjoy the hardwood floors now; they will always add value to a home, and the wear and tear of daily life only adds character.

Pro tip: Select a floor with subtle scraping or wire brushing if you have pets or little ones. A higher variation and a busier grain can also help hide extra wear and tear.

Hardwood That's Innovative

We use technology to enhance hardwood's already durable nature to make it even better. ScuffResist Platinum aluminum oxide finish is on the top layer of all of our domestic hardwood. This helps to prevent scuffing six times better than anything else in the market.

This means protection against everyday micro-abrasions on the floor's surface due to grit and dirt.

Repel splash-resistant technology is also used on almost all of our domestic styles. Repel protects hardwoods from life's little messes. Come on, we know you kick the ice when it falls from the refrigerator ice maker! Or is that just me?

Hardwood is Always in Style

One of the best things about hardwood is that no matter what color you choose, it will always be timeless and stylish. Certain shades do go in and out of style, and if you love designing with the trends, White Oaks are the “it girl” right now with their lighter, brighter, cleaner appearance.

Longer and wider boards are also popular. Right now, the bigger, the better. Our Memorial Sliced Oak comes in a whopping 9 1/4” width. Gorgeous!

Midtones are also gaining popularity as they are transitional. They aren’t too light, and they aren’t too dark. This chameleon shade fits in with multiple styles, from Cottage Core to Midcentury Modern to Coastal Grandma. Check out Oasis Oak, which checks all the beauty boxes.

If traditional is more your vibe, we also have that, from red oak to hickory to maple. Darker and warmer tones rule this look. Our Legacy hardwood comes in colorations that are so grounded, comfy and cozy.

Flooring Designed by Nature

There's a reason other hard surface categories work so hard to mimic the look of hardwood—but there's no comparison to the real thing once you're walking, touching and living real life on the floors. Designed by nature, each plank tells a story, and no two planks are alike.

Show your clients the details of the growth rings, the wormholes, the sapwood, the mineral streaks, the knots, and the color variations. These aren't defects in the wood; these beautiful characteristics tell the story of each unique tree.

Pro tip: The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) recommends you blend hardwood floors from several boxes for a successful installation.

Hardwood Offers the Highest Return on Investment (ROI)

According to the latest NAR home remodeling report, the ROI or return on investment when adding new hardwood floors to your home is an impressive 118% in terms of cost recovery. It is a no-brainer. We love hardwood!

We love producing jobs here in America to boost our economy. We love the pride poured into each style we make, from inception in research and development to hands-on production and manufacturing to sales and samples. It then flows to our partners, the dealers and installers, and lastly, into homes nationwide.

Ask your representative to see the breadth of our domestic hardwood lineup.

We can't wait to show you all the beauty and value we have to offer you that's born in the USA! "Ooh, say, can you see."
